Nursing

Overview

The word Nursing comes from Latin word Nutricus which means to nourish, to cherish, to protect, to support, to sustain, to train, to educate and to supply with essential information. During second world war Florence Nightingale (1820-1910) made her emphasis on the preparation of Nurses for the scare of the sick, prevention of diseases and promotion of health of individual and of the community. The rising number of hospitals & nursing homes has created a very high demand for nursing care professionals .In the modern era the art of nursing has changed & requires well- versed knowledge of medicine & clinical aspects along with high -tech practical training. Shri Ram Raja Sarkar Lok Kalyan Trust is registered under Indian Public Trust Act. Being a Charitable Trust with no-profit motto. The trust accepts service to the sufferers with entire Zeal, Devotion and Mission. With this objective the Trust is opening career courses, which may prov significantly worthy for the people & the state. Government of M.P. and State Nursing Council of M.P. is pleased to sanction & permit the Trust to admit candidate at Shri Rawatpura Sarkar, School / College of Nursing, Datia. Vide INC letter No. 18-16/2001/INC dated 11 Sep. 2002 & affiliated to JIWAJI University, Gwalior. Philosophy of Nursing Nursing is a systematic, deliberate process directed towards assisting individuals and groups in promoting, maintaining and restoring maximum health potential and supporting the dignity of the individual in life. This process is based upon the combination of scientific knowledge and skills and consists of actions that are independent but co-ordinated with other health care programmes. Concept of Nursing is base on Indian Nursing Council’s definition of the unique function of the Nurse, which is to assist the individual, sick and well, in the performance of the those activities contributing to its recovery. The staff of school believe that the basic course in Nursing college is a formal education and preparation, which should be based on sound Medical & Scientific foundation. Further the faculty of school / college of Nursing believes : That learning occurs not only in classroom, but also in the peer group and through participation in a wide variety of extra-curricular activities in different fields. That Nursing is a profession, which is influenced by advances in Science & Technology. That skill in all of aspects of communication is essential for learning and for the practice of Nursing. That the nature of Nursing is such that substantial portion of student’s learning is acquired in clinical area. That interdependence of Nursing with allied profession and occupation is necessary in promoting, maintaining and restoring health. That the new persons entering in the pioneering profession must be guided for their brilliant career in Nursing so that they may prove efficient in imparting services to the society.
